ITC will approach Circular Economy in manufacturing sectors with PLATECMA

Organized by the Technological Platform of Manufacturing Sectors: PLATECMA, will be held on 25 October at the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC), a member of PLATECMA, the Conference: “Circular Economy in manufacturing sectors”. A day that will include a visit to the ceramic company KEROS Cerámica, S.A.
This initiative is organized by the PLATECMA platform, with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Group of Interplatforms of Circular Economy, the European Institute of Technology (EIT) through the Climate-KIC Network, the City Council of Malaga and FYCMA, ACTECO and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The opening, at 9:30 am, will be in charge of Mª Ángeles Ferré, Head of the subdivision of scientific-technical thematic programmes of the State Research Agency, who will be followed by a representative of the presidency of PLATECMA, Cesar Taboas, of the Royo Group company. The word will then go to Professor Eliseo Monfort, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón. The Technical Secretariat of the Interplatform Group will also intervene to explain the collaboration in Circular Economy. In addition, the event Transfer 2019 will be presented by Priscila Meléndez, executive of the Forum.
After a break, a Round Table was organised with the participation of Jose Vicente Miró, Deputy Director General of Climate Change and Environmental Quality of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as María Rincón, head of the Circular Economy for Spain, Ignacio Chanzá, Director of Innovation of EIT-Climate Kic Spain, Ángel Martínez León, of ACTECO Servicios, S.L., and Irina Celades, head of the Sustainability Area of ITC.
Al cierre de la Jornada intervendrá Carlos Gil, Director de I+D de la empresa Keros Cerámica, S.A., ya que posteriormente se ha organizado un traslado a las instalaciones de esta compañía fabricante de baldosas cerámicas, para realizar una visita guiada.
Then, after lunch, the conference will end, although in the afternoon PLATECMA members will hold the Platform Assembly.
