Student from University of Aveiro develops 3D printing with cork
Tatiana Antunes, a master student from the Department of Materials and Ceramic Engineering at the University of Aveiro, developed an ecologic alternative to the synthetic filaments used in 3D printing, by applying 100% biodegradable composite with cork residue from the cork stoppers production.
Developed with the support of Amorim Cork Composites, it is a filament with personality and environmentally friendly that can be used for the most diverse types of printing, as it allows final results with excellent quality and unique aesthetics, with a characteristic color and scent associated.
