The Spanish Congress Greencities 2019 will host the Circular Economy Forum

The Spanish Greencities Congress will be the setting for the second edition of the Circular Economy Forum, co-organised with the Malaga City Council’s Environmental Sustainability Area, which will provide the keys to this economic model from the hands of different experts in the field. This new meeting will address the Spanish strategy in this area, as well as the main trends in production, aspects relating to the useful life of products or the process of transforming waste into raw material. Greencities will take place on 27 and 28 March 2019 in FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga) -organiser of the event-.
Greencities, Foro de Inteligencia y Sostenibilidad Urbana, invites professionals, companies and institutions linked to sustainability and the design of new models focused on the circular economy to attend the second edition of the Circular Economy Forum, organized by the event together with the Environmental Sustainability Area of Malaga City Council. This specialized meeting held last April its first call in the framework of Greencities, reaping a great success and postulating key to the sustainable development of intelligent territories. Thus, it returns with the aim of analyzing both the national strategy and the one carried out at the local level to supply these aspects of first order in the agenda of the global economy.
In this second edition, the meeting will feature the participation of leading experts on the subject to address issues such as trends in the design and manufacture of products for the circular economy, which leads to a reduction in the consumption of raw materials and also helps to prolong the life of products, another of the issues that will be undertaken. They will also bring attendees closer to the process that makes it possible for waste to become raw material again. On the other hand, this space will host success stories from Spanish and international cities that are already working on the change of production model and will have an impact on the regulations of the Circular Economy, unraveling the current moment in which it is.
On 27 and 28 March 2019, Greencities will bring together companies, professionals, institutional representatives, municipal technicians and researchers around the most up-to-date innovative agenda in all the areas of action involved in improving municipal public services, the case of government and citizen participation -which will gain prominence in this call for proposals-, energy, the economy, mobility, the environment, building and technological solutions.
Greencities is organised by FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga) in conjunction with the Malaga City Council. It is also co-organized by the Asociación Multisectorial de Empresas de Electrónica, Tecnologías de la Información, Telecomunicaciones y Contenidos Digitales (AMETIC).
