Bringing the EU Action Plan to Life: Towards a Fact-based Circular Economy

The Conference: „Bringing the EU Action Plan to Life: Towards a Fact-based Circular Economy“ was celebrated in Vienna on September 20.
This one-day event held under the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU looked at existing and future challenges of European waste management. High‑level speakers from the European Union and the most important stakeholders of European waste management freely exchanged information and attendees were able to network with colleagues from all over Europe.
The EU Circular Economy Package and its implementation were the key issues during the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2018.
The Austrian Water and Waste Management Association (ÖWAV) co-hosted the international conference with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT) and Altstoff Recycling Austria AG (ARA).
